The Cricket Stomper is a playskool* drum that has been modified with two new controls for the pitch, an 1/8 audio output, and a paint job that brings to my mind the image of an ancient east asian war flag. Perhaps, that is partly where its name came from; aside from making some cricket-like noises, it also produces bassy, and distant war drum sounds. In the course of my exposure to popular culture, I have come to associate the word 'cricket' with a martial arts master, moreso than a sport and almost as much as the actual bug. During that exposure, I have also come to think of all people in ancient east asian armies as some sort of martial arts master...
